Kingdom Death - New Minis and Remasters

Kingdom Death has released some new minis as well as remasters and general releases of previously limited edition minis. Adam Poots, the mind behind Kingdom Death and the associated Kickstarter, had a post on Bell of Lost Souls announcing the new minis. The line-up:

Satan. Mr. Poots stated if they reached $666,666 in their Kickstarter he'd design his version of Satan. Which happens to be two hermaphrodites. The limited edition run of 500 sold out in 8 hours, however they're taking pre-orders for general release.

Gold Smoke Knight. This is a limited release.

Pinups of Death - Hard Plastic Collection. This is a collection of their 8 previously released pin-up versions of characters in plastic rather than resin including some other goodies. At $100 for the collection they're cheaper than a GW character at about $12.50 apiece. And remember these are 35mm miniatures.

In the remastered and re-released realm there's the Twilight Knight Pin-Up which has 5 available as of this writing, White Speaker Nico in an encore release, and the resin White Speaker (non-pin up version) as a remaster. Many other figures are still in stock as well. You check it all out at the Kingdom Death store.

Assembly Update: Asterion Moloc and Ivanus Enkomi

It's been a while since I've had a post on, well, much of anything really. I have been so busy with work (lots of overtime) that I haven't had much time to do anything. However, I finally got started on putting together Asterion Moloc and Ivanus Enkomi of the Minotaurs (I obviously didn't do a Loot Call update, or three... possibly five...). Here's some in progress pics.

I nixed the bases they both came with and opted for a different base. This is Asterion atop a 40mm Spartan base from Scibor Miniatures. Just need to get his right arm and spear attached, his crest, and then figure out how his fracking cape attaches...

Just the body of Ivanus so far. He is mounted on a 28mm Ancient Ruins base from Scibor Miniatures. If it looks weird... yeah. That's how his stance is, even if you put him on his included base. I always thought it was an oddball stance. Good thing he's a badass.

Kickstarter for Fall Schematic Canceled

You may remember my post previously about a Kickstarter project called Fall Schematic. It as a digital and card based game that was getting support from Wyrd Games including a pledge level with some explusive minis of Malifaux characters.

Despite having passed their funding goal, they have canceled their Kickstarter.

From their update:

First, when we partnered with Wyrd Miniatures on the Fall Schematic project we gained the opportunity to create added incentives like miniatures and other physical products, as well as their knowledge and manufacturing to create and distribute the card game. This proved to be a blessing and a curse. All the support and interest brought in by the miniatures pushed us easily past our goal, which we are hugely thankful for. However, in many ways it shifted the focus of the campaign too far away from the game itself and became too much about the miniatures. While we are still very excited to be making Fall Schematic miniatures, it is not at the core of our project. As such, we felt strongly that we didn't want to primarily fund our project with a product only peripherally related.

Second, due to the huge support we received from the very start, Fall Schematic has received a lot of attention. The result was additional private funds becoming available to secure the continuation, security, and success of the entire Fall Schematic project. You all made this happen, and so you have all directly contributed to making Fall Schematic happen, and happen better than ever!

The good news is we're still going to honor your pledge level for all digital goods! That's right, backers will receive ALL the digital rewards you would have gotten in your pledge level, except you will get them for FREE. The only change is that they are no longer going to be Kickstarter exclusive, but will remain rare, useful, and valuable. Your support helped get us to where we are now, and we want to thank you in the best way we know how.

The next good news is that we are still working with Wyrd to create the card game AND the miniatures. Wyrd has agreed to provide all current backers with a discount code to their online store, allowing you to buy these physical products, when they become available, with a very friendly discount. A big thank you to Wyrd for their continued support of the Fall Schematic project.
So at least it seems that Wyrd is still going to produce the minis, so that's a bonus to us mini-lovers. So if you were backing it, or thinking about it, and wanted those exclusive Malifaux sculpts, keep an eye on Wyrd Games to get your hands on them.

New Kickstarter: Assemblage of Eternity

So, my backing addiction continues as I backed a new project called Assemblage of Eternity. In a nutshell it's a minis board game of a fighting video game. Think Street Fighter as a board game. As I am a huge Street Fighter nerd, this was right up my alley, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that it's successful. Check it out.

Yes, the video above is cheesy as hell, but watching the how to play video it looks like a lot of fun.

New Wyrd Chronicles

I'm a little late on this, as this was released on 4/7, but Wyrd Chronicles 11 has been released by Wyrd Games. You can download the issue on their website. By their own admission, it includes:

  • The Gremlins have taken over and partake in the limelight.
  • Join in the festivities of a Bayou Bash for the Big Hat.
  • Play as the December Acolyte advanced pursuit in Through the Breach.
  • Learn two new Scenarios for your Malifaux games.
  • Become a tournament player.
  • Paint Yin and her gory bits.
  • Discover Mage Wars with our friends from Arcane Wonders.
  • And much more...
