Loot Call! - Or Should I Say: I Got Looted...

So... odd title, yeah? Well, I just got something that makes me feel like I was the one that got looted because of how much I had to pay for it. What is it? You wanna see?

This is the A4 size transfer sheet of Imperial Knight decals that was released seperately from the Knights. How much did I pay for it? I am a bit embarrassed to say. I will say it's over half the cost of a Knight. Yeah. However, I didn't know that this was being released as a freaking limited edition item! I thought Knights were supposed to come with two transfer sheets. So imagine my surprise after I bought two Knights, decided to do them as Freeblades, open the boxes to see only one transfer sheet inside...

[insert head banging on table here]

Fortunately, I found one being sold on Ebay. Unfortunately it was ridiculously expensive. Unfortunately, try as I might, I couldn't find it anywhere else on the internet so I bit the bullet and dropped way too much money on it.

You may ask yourself why I didn't just decide to do a house using the sheet that came with them in that instance, and that would be a very valid question. The problem (in my mind at least) was that I just went out and spent almost $60 on the paints I needed to paint them as Amaranthine and Garantius. My free hand skills don't go past stick figures, so I went ahead and paid the exorbitant price for the transfer sheet. I just need to really put this sheet to use so I justify the expense to myself. Heh. Good excuse to build a Knight Army?

  1. I think we need to remember when purchasing things for our hobby, to not overly criticize ourselves for such purchases. Look how much a new video game costs these days. That transfer sheet (assuming you love painting/pimping your knights), will easily net you the same or greater satisfaction. And you end up with an actual product at the end, instead of just a rant or story. :)

    1. You make a valid point. If my free hand skills were good, I wouldn't have to buy it at all! As it is... I could have gotten a lot for that money. Or I could have chalked up the paint as a "loss" to my collection of paints and decided on something else. Meh, I just can't believe I spent that much on the transfers! :)

  2. Hey man, came across your blog while on a quest to find some of of these transfer (a year late I know!) if you still have the House Krast ones, would you consider selling them?

    2. If you still have the House Griffiths ones I'd be interested in getting my hands on them.

  3. I would be interested in the imperial fist logos if you still have them and would be willing to pay

    1. I'll check, but I thought those were on the main decal sheet that comes with the normal Knight.
