Spartan Games: Dystopian Wars 2-Player Starter Set

Hot on the heels of the Firestorm Armada 2-player starter set with the 2.0 rulebook, Spartan Games released, at the end of May, a 2-player starter box set of Dystopian Wars titled: Operation Shadow Hunter. For those not familiar with it, Dystopian wars is the alternate history earth, steampunk miniatures game of naval combat. It's had my attention for a while, but as is the problem with many of the minis games I have my eye on, there's no one else that plays it. These 2-player starter sets are awesome for allowing people to try it out and maybe building a fan base in the area. I recently got the Dropzone Commander starter set by Hawk Wargames, and also the aforementioned Firestorm Armada starter set. Now they release this with the 2.0 Rulebook for Dystopian Wars and now it seems I will need to add this to my growing game collection.

he box set features the forces of the Federated States of America and The Empire of the Blazing Sun. A list of the contents:

It retails for 80 GBP which is roughly $134 and change as of this writing. The response to the Firestorm armada starter box was good so I'm glad to see them releasing 2-player sets for other properties. I will definitely put this on my short list of future purchases.
