Painting Tip: Masking Clean Lines
Ever been working on a larger miniature and used painter's/masking tape to try to get a clean line, but no matter how hard you try it bleeds under and messes it up?
Here's how to fix that issue:
You paint over where you're masking with your 1st color. Not an issue if you're base coating the whole model in one color, but if not, you want to paint past the color change.
Put down your tape then paint over the edge that will take the other color.
Paint the other color then remove the tape.
This obviously only applies to larger models and on even surfaces. However, it can come in handy with other things like stencils as well. Basically anything that can be affected by bleeding. This video illustrates the technique.
Now that is very cool!! Thank you for that!
